The Moment of Disillusionment by the Word of God

Emerging

It was the first class of Bible 101, after a few months of attending church;

a Monday night, no expectations, no clue in sight.

Wonderful illumination!

I left cheerfully walking in the light of God so sublime;

after years of living in the darkness of my mind.

Maybe it was the overall message that moved me so.

For my memory fails me, so I don’t exactly know.

But even that night I knew it didn’t matter,

and I left at the end of class full of glee, and unusual chatter.

On my way to the train station, I text’d my friend, while walking & bouncing;

ecstatically announcing

that even with no clue… I knew; I was close to the end of strife!

Because, “This is going to change my LIFE!!”

“…we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a lamp shining in a dark place–until the Day dawns, and Christ the Morning Star shines in your hearts.”  2 Peter 1:19 (NLT)
